Yes I suppose these are a brilliant invention and a great device for those on the road all the time having to go to different locations all over the place and fed up with balancing the A-Z on their lap. A GPS system is a great miracle to those people, tapping in the address they want to get to and having the instructions read out to them all the way there. To me I hate them, I think they can be quite a dangerous device to have in the car. The constant talking from these machines and bleeping and telling you how may miles to go, turn left, turn right, I don't know what I am doing because it's in my face all the time. The voices used on them are irritating and boring, they go through your head like an irritating chatter-box and yes being a woman I am expected to get lost, but give me that map book any day so that I can navigate the old-fashioned way.
