Stranger Than Fiction is a movie worth seeing.

The movie is light and funny at times, but then it turns serious and devastating. The plot is surprising and intelligent. I wholly enjoyed this movie. Will Ferrell offers his normally quirky humor but is offset very well by the seriously hopeless author who is writing his story.

The movie tells about an IRS employee who is very structured and orderly. When he wakes up for work one day he hears a British woman narrating his actions. Through the next couple of days he meets a woman who he is auditing and learns about love. (All while this British woman is narrating his day. ) He then goes to see help and finds out that this author is notorious for killing her characters very violently.

The movie doubles up and develops the author into a new person and the IRS employee. It is a story about love, breaking out of your shell, and coming to terms with your own death.

I give this movie a Large Two Thumbs Up.
