Reflections: My greatest accomplishments

I know that before you read this article you might wonder how old I am. For fourteen years I've lived this life and by my age people feel that all teenagers are insane. No kid my age will be above the peer pressure. Even I have gone to those horrible life killers, drugs.

In the eighth grade I was smoking weed, and drinking vodka. Not too far away in that year I began skipping school. One week straight of going to the movies for hours and taking more drugs. Then when my father picked me up I lied straight to his face saying that school was fun. I was caught of course and given about fifty days worth of after school detention.

The stupidest thing I ever did was after all the detention was over, I did it again. My father and I had a serious talk and he set me straight. Over the year my grades dropped and I was forced to go to summer school. I didn't realize it until now, but the principal of my school saved me. He said I was going to get held back automatically, but he allowed me to go to summer school. Not only that, but he even gave me a discount.

I learned never to do something like that again. At summer school I had straight A's and passed with ease. No drugs have been in my body for a year already and I haven't failed one class. The stupid things I've done are behind me and just this morning I even went out for a healthy morning jog. If I chose something I was proud of, it would definitely be that fact that I moved above the influence and the drugs. Now that you read this you should be thinking, for a fourteen year old I'm pretty smart. Don't think I'm smart, instead you should go out and do the same.
