The fast food industry is just that, it is made to be fast and edible. The fast food dollar menus are great, they give starving students and the grab lunch on the go because I only have 20 minutes for lunch working stiffs something to put in their belly's. I don't see Subway or Quiznos or any of the better eating establishments offering dollar menus. It costs too much for good healthy food, unless you are willing to invest the time to shop and prepare it yourself and that's relative also. Because what is your time worth? If you are a starving student you probably have some free time, but not the money it takes to buy good low fat hamburger meat, fresh green lettuce, ripe red tomatoes and a whole wheat bun. On the other hand if you are a busy administrative assistant lets say, you have the money to buy all the groceries at the store, but not the time to fix a good hamburger for lunch, you have 30 min or an hour max and a commute. People are busy and the dollar menu rocks.
