Having debuted in her album, "Stars are Blind," Paris has officially hit the music scene. Well, maybe not exactly. Unfortunately for Hilton, sales for her very first album were less than impressive. I guess her public wasn't as impressed as her managers, publicists, and studio yes men. After the critical first week on the record charts, Paris ranked only six, selling only 75,000 copies in the U. S. She was topped by pro's P Diddy and Outkast, who both sold well over 150,000 copies in their first week. The UK didn't swoon over it either, giving her musical career a grim prognosis of a little less than a season to fade away. Whether she's got true singing talent or not, some people want to hear what this star has to offer; people like Prince, or rather, the artist formerly known as Prince, now going by Prince..., again.
One very embarrassed Paris stormed off the stage in Las Vegas' Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino after Prince made a fool of her at his packed concert. Inviting her onto his stage, knowing she would of course jump at the chance for a little public praise by a popular star, and handing her the mic, he shouted to the crowd, "Let's see if she can really sing." Its no wonder she was mortified. Whether you are a fan of Miss Hilton or not, this was a little cruel, even for her highness. Will we see another attempt at musical stardom made by the pampered princess? And, if we do, will it be better received the second time around? No one knows for sure. I guess we'll just have to keep watching her every move.
...I am sure she won't mind the attention.
