Fired: How to assess your own behavior

So you're ticked off.You got fired and of course you did't deserve it...
or did you?Now you start to think it over. What really happened?
How much of what happened was really your fault?
You want to know so you don't make the same mistakes next time.
You sit down and decide to make a check list .

1.Was I on time every day?
2.Did I have a lot of sick days?
3.Did I stretch out lunch a little too often?
4.Did I hang out at the water cooler a lot?
5.Was I always honest?
6.Did I usually give my all?
7.Did I get along well with co-workers?
8.Did I follow instructions?
9.Was I positive about my job?
10.Did I inspire others?

Of course you know what the answers should be but the exercise will help you pin point areas in which you can improve. The hardest thing in the world is to turn
the spotlight on your own shortcomings but it may prevent you from losing the next job.
