Short stories: A rendezvous at the museum

by KELTONG

As the clock struck three, a young man walked hurriedly through the doors of the museum. He was well-dressed, holding a coat in his hand, and he was carrying an expensive looking briefcase. Scanning his surrounding, he quietly slipped into a door behind a giant bronze statue.

Behind the door, the passage way was quiet and dark, but you could almost see a hint of light coming from the end of the passage way. The young man made his way slowly towards that light and finally came to a door where the light came from. He knocked softly on the door and whispered, "Amelia, it's me." The door opened up almost immediately, almost like someone has been waiting at the door for a long time. The young man smiled and stepped into the room.

"What took you so long?" Amelia asked. "Traffic," came the answer, almost nonchalantly, and immediately, he dropped his coat and briefcase and threw himself towards Amelia. They kissed passionately, and the young man picked her up and put her on the table. He started to unbutton the turquoise blouse that Amelia was wearing, all this while their lips were lock tightly together. He slowly worked his way around her bra. Amelia carefully took off the young man's shirt, not wanting to crumple it. They paused for a moment to take off the rest of their clothing and starting having sex on the table. Amelia let out a loud groan before the young man finally stopped.

They cuddled together on the table, teasing each other, and just then, the phone rang abruptly. Amelia sat up and tried to reach for her phone that was in her skirt. "Amelia speaking", she answered in her typically sweet fashion. After a short conversation, she hung up and said, "It's Janet, she said that Mr. Smith is looking for me." She started to look for her clothing and put it on. "You know the way out, be careful that no one sees you", added Amelia. Mr. Smith was the manager of the Museum, and Amelia and Janet were the museum tour guides.

The young man smiled and nodded his head, "I'll see you tomorrow?" asked the young man. Amelia nodded sheepishly and hurriedly went out through another door. Back in the room, Dave put on his clothes and quietly went out the way that he came from. Walking past the main hall, Dave saw Amelia leading a group of high school students for a tour of the museum. He winked at her as he walked out of the main door, looking forward to his next trip back to the museum.
