Verbal terrorism, political correctness and Don Imus

Although Don Imus' remarks about the black female basketball players were stupid, he had the absolute right to say them. Stupidity is not yet a crime. He was paid to be a shock jock, and that is exactly what he delivered. Freedom of expression is the most important right in the country. Don Imus was fired because of the self serving rants of Al Sharpton, and the forces of political correctness. In fact political correctness has taken over reason.
Howard Stern was fined countless times by the FCC(government) and he has said worse things on the public airwaves. As we all know Howard Stern broadcasts from space where he is listened to by millions. He is finally free from the heavy hand of government interference and the forces of political correctness.
Space is where Don Imus belongs so he can be as stupid as he wants. Eventually all shock jocks will be broadcasting from space. Since the public, by the millions listen to shock jocks, the FM air waves will become almost empty. They will only be able to broadcast talk shows that offend nobody, a near impossibility. After the shock jocks are gone, then political correctness types will go after other talk shows they don't like. They won't be happy until the air waves are sterile.
