Commentary: Iran's nuclear plans

Iran developing Nuclear technology should make virtually anyone in the world lose a little sleep. More than any of the other countries out there that are attempting to develop weapons of mass destruction the Iranians are far more terrifying. They clearly intend to use them if and when they obtain them.

Israel, of course, would be their likely first target. The Israelis certainly know this and are likely to be the first country to try to stop the Iranians militarily. A nuclear capable Iran is virtually guaranteed to create the first real nuclear war. Israel will almost certainly respond in kind to any kind of attack by Iran and the Iranians have made their intent abundantly clear through past statements and actions by the regime currently in power in Tehran.

Ultimately it may be necessary for others in the world to do something about the situation. Sanctions alone clearly are not enough to stop Iranian progress or dull their enthusiasm.

Clearly their claims of benign intentions for their development is a sham. They have all the energy they need right under their feet and yet they are spending millions of dollars developing nuclear technology. This should make anyone lose sleep.
