Battle for the best sport

Aaron's Passion
Aaron Spencer began playing Soccer at age four. Like many four year olds his interest level was very limited. His first practice included picking up and throwing grass, watching airplanes fly over the field, and two bathroom breaks that took up about twenty minutes of the hour long practice. That was about two and a half years ago. Oh how times have changed.

During the fall season of 2006 Aaron scored 13 of his teams 21 goals. So far this season he has scored 8 of his teams 14. He has developed a passion for the game of Soccer that most six year olds could never comprehend, and many adults can only admire. When children Aaron's age turn on the TV, it is usually to watch cartoons. While Aaron enjoys cartoons just like anyone else, he is just as likely to turn on the Soccer channel. He repeatedly asks his parents or grandparents to go out and kick the ball with him, and if they are too busy, he will take on his two year old boxer puppy in a game of Soccer one on one. No matter who Aaron plays, he usually wins.
Aaron's competitive nature is so evident, that at times it appears that he has a duel personality. When not playing Soccer he is a very happy inquisitive child. While he enjoys playing his Game Cube (usually a Soccer game), he also likes to play the piano, especially with his grandmother, read, and he asks many questions. There is usually a smile on his face and he loves to play innocent jokes on his friends and family.
When Aaron steps on the Soccer field the smile disappears. It is replaced with an intense scowl that would resemble a major league baseball hitter who had just been beaned by a pitch, or a wild tiger stalking his pray. While he listens to his coaches during a game, he seems to completely tune out the parents and Soccer fans who are watching him. He appears to be oblivious to his family on the sidelines as they yell out advice. He only cares about one thing, and that is playing as hard as he can to win the game.
This intensity was never more evident than when individual photos of Aaron and his teammates were taken last year. It was very noticeable that most of the kids either smiled or had a somewhat indifferent look on their face in their picture. Aaron's photo was different. While holding the ball under his right arm, the look on his face was frightening. It was as if anyone got close to him or his Soccer ball, they would suffer painful consequences.

Aaron plays structured competitive Soccer four days a week. One of those days
