Recommended reading: Books that won't put you to sleep

Looking for a book that won't put you to sleep?

Here are a few books that will keep you turning pages, aching to know what crazy thing is going to happen next.

(1) The Husband by Dean Koontz
Genre: Horror/Thriller

Don't let the tame sounding title decieve you! This book is a non stop thrill ride you will not want to put down. Mitch is a gardner. One day while he is at work, he gets a call on his cell phone. The caller tells Mitch that his wife has been kidnapped, and he will not get her back unless he gives them $2 million. He is given what sounds like an impossibly short amount of time to get this money. What does he do now? Every move he makes leads to more twists and turns. Can he get the money, and get his wife back in time?

This book just recently came out in paperback.

(2)All Encompassing Trip by Nicole Del Sesto
Genre: Fantasy/Bizzaro Fiction

This book is wierd, and wierd is good! Fans of Bizzaro fiction will really enjoy this book. Nikki Nasco wakes up one day to find that things have changed. The coffee keeps disappearing. The television is only showing "Reality TV" and Oprah, despite the fact that nothing else electronic is able to get power. There is a talking coyote on her front door step, and a green almost naked man in her backyard. Fortunately for Nikki, her best friend Amber is also experiencing the same strangeness. Together they team up and go on a quest. What are they questing for? How do they figure out what to do next? Who is on their side, and who is trying to stop them? Why them, in the first place? All answers are revealed by the end of the book. Del Sesto leaves no loose ends in this funny, exciting, strange story.

(3)Attention. Deficit. Disorder by Brad Listi
Genre: Fiction

Upon first glance at the title, you might think this book is about someone who has the learning disability called Attention Deficit Disorder. That's not what this book is about at all! Wayne Fencer is going to the funeral for his ex-girlfriend who has comitted suicide. At the funeral, he learns that shortly after they broke up, she had an abortion, without ever even telling him about the pregnancy. This sends Wayne on a journey, trying to find the meaning of life. Some of his travels include Cuba, and The Burning Man festival. This book is deep, and hysterical, and like nothing else I've ever read. Listi has a very distinct writing style, and seperates each bite sized chapter with short non fiction pieces that
