If you have booked a cruise you are in for a great vacation! There are few places where you are treated as well as you are on a cruise. On a cruise you are treated like royalty. The staff work very hard to make sure you enjoy yourself and have everything you need at your fingertips

If you are taking a cruise for the first time here are some things to look forward to:

* Excellent food available 24-hours a day. From fine dining to pizza and burgers you have every kind of food option available to you on a cruise.

* Outstanding service. The staff work overtime to make sure you enjoy your trip. There is always someone available help get you whatever you need.

* Amazing amenities. State of the art gyms, beautiful spas, multiple pools, deck chairs for lounging throughout the boat. Some have movie theaters, ice skating rinks, rock climbing walls.

* Nightly entertainment. There is always something going on that you will find fun and entertaining. No matter what your tastes are there is something for you to enjoy if you choose to from comedians, live shows, movies, karaoke, games to participate in, or dance clubs to dance the night away in.

* A variety of excursions at each port. There are always several options for excursions planned by the cruise at each port. These are well organized and take the hassle out of trying to figure out how to get somewhere and what to do in each port.

* Casino. Cruise ship casinos are filled with every game you would find in Vegas from slot machines to table games like blackjack.

* Beautiful pools. Most cruise ships offer more than one pool option. Some offer outdoor and indoor pools so you can swim no matter what the weather.

Now that you know all the great things to expect here are some things to be aware of:

* Alcohol and soft drinks are not included in what you pay for food. If you want something other than water and ice tea expect to pay for it and budget accordingly. Keep track of how much you are spending. Most cruise ships allow you to use your room key as a credit card and they charge your drinks to your room. Make sure you check on your bill periodically while you are cruising to make sure you are not spending too much on extras. Many a cruiser has been shocked when they get their bill at the end of the trip and see how much money they have racked up on drinks.

* Rooms really are small. Do not bring more than you need, you will not have room for it. Inside cabins do not have windows. If you must have sunlight make sure you book a room with a window.

* Some of the amenities are not included in your all-inclusive. Spa treatments are extra, and if you sign up for some of the classes at the gym they can be extra too.
