the horrible withdraws I stayed clean. My daughter Nyla was born on August 24th 2005 at 3:41pm, I was induced. She was 19.5 inches, 7 pounds 9 ounces and HEALTHY! I cried and cried from happiness and relif.
After about a month I started to get the urge for an 'oxy". I decided then to leave New Castle. I called my dad and he was there within 24 hours to get me and my daughter. He took us in and set me on the path to a new life, a good life for my baby. We are doing fine now. As a matter of fact Nyla just brought me a book to read her so I took a break from my writing. We have a house now and I have a decent job, not the best paying job but it pays the bills and feeds my daughter. Everyday I thank god for my little one and that she is perfectly healthy and highly intelligent I might add, and she is so very beautiful.
Nylas dad is still in Pennsylvania. He is in rehab and has been for over a year. He calls often and is doing very well. He hopes to stay clean and finally get a job, and hopefully get his life on track so he can be a part of her life. I still love him but it will be a long time before I can trust him to stay clean, and I will not give my daughter the kind of life that I almost ended up with. I was lucky but someone else may not have the luck I did, and that is why I told my story, to scare people.
Now here is a little information about Oxycontin that I hope you read and remember.

Oxycontin can be used a number of ways. A person may swallow them whole, remove the coating then swallow them whole, crush them then snort then up their nose, and they can also be injected with a hypodermic needle. Obviously there could be other ways that I am unaware of to take this drug.
Well it's time to put my Nyla to bed. She'll give "night nights" to her aunt and uncle who live with us, and she'll kiss her "dada's" picture good night, then she likes to give the picture of Jesus a kiss good night. I'll help her say her short little "2 year old's prayer", then I'll get my "night night" kiss. Then I'll lay her down and shut her door and for a quick second I'll say a little "thank you god prayer".
