Testimonies about oxycontin: The dangers and the myths

"Oxycontin" Some of you reading this may have heard the word before, and some may have not. For those of you who don't know what it is. This medication is a strong narcotic pain reliever similar to morphine. This medication is used to treat moderate to severe pain that is expected to last for a long period of time. Swallow the tablets whole. Broken, chewed or crushed tablets may release large (possibly life-threatening) amounts of medication into your body. Nausea, vomiting, constipation, mild itching, drowsiness, dry mouth, lightheadedness, loss of appetite, or weakness may occur. Some of these side effects may decrease after continued use of the medication. Now that is not my definition it's the actual definition. Maybe you are reading this article and you have your own story to tell, that is why I am writing this article. I will also include some facts and statistics as I go. Be for-warned I have never really written any thing like this before so if it seems I am not a professional, it's cause I'm not.

I grew up in a wealthy town by the name of Linwood. It's on the Jersey shore. I had a good life. I am the oldest of seven children. We weren't the richest people but we always had what we needed, not too many of our wants, but it was the price we payed to live in Linwood and go to some of the best schools. My siblings and I were all very close with one another but not as close as my sister Holly and I, we were and still are best friends. We grew up with my dad, step mom, grandfather, grandmother, and nana all in the same house. When I graduated high school I decided to move away and live with my mother.
I moved to a small but deadly town by the name of New Castle. I call the town deadly because it can bring you down and even kill you. I lived there for approximately two years before I met Sam. I fell in love with him almost instantly. We dated for 3 years. He introduced me to oxycontin then I fell in love with oxycontin. After 3 years I was pretty far gone. I was stealing, lying to the people I loved, not eating cause I didn't have money cause I spent it all on "Oxy's". I looked like hell, I stopped taking care of my self and I was high daily. I stopped washing my face, brushing my teeth, putting on makeup, even getting out of my pajamas. I was in a bad way. One day when Sam and I had a good amount of money, (and I can't even remember why, but I can only imagine), We took alot of oxy's. We took so many that we didn't even notice that I was past my usual
