This topic is asking more of an opinion then facts. It all depends on the person you ask and factors.

Truly the most powerful superhero, all around, would certainly have to be Superman. I mean, he's the Flash, Hulk, and Cyclops combined with other amazing powers, such as flight and X-ray vision. He only has one real weakness and that's a rock... Well, Kryptonite, but nonetheless, a rock! Superman is an original. He's got some looks to him, a secret identity, and is a good-guy that always saves people and fights villains.

While Superman is 'super' and perhaps the most strongest and powerful of superheroes there are other heroes that own him in uniqueness and can beat him in certain areas. There's also favorite heroes too.

Batman has no superpowers but is a brilliant hero. He has intelligence, social power, money, gadgets, technology, a cool suit, and one pimp car. He uses his mind and natural physical strength, accompanied with his arsenal of 'stuff', to capture the baddies and save the day.

Spiderman is just a favorite of all. He has the coolest of suits, a villain within, and amazing powers that allow him to scale walls and nearly fly across Manhattan using webbing to swing from. The best part is... he's the average dweeb that has no social success prior to his powers and is considered to be weak. So he's totally transformed, and unlike other heroes, has real problems an everyday hero ought to. Dating problems, love problems, job problems, 'being on time' problems.

While there is also Flash, Greenlantern, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and the newer heroes like 'Static Shock', 'Teen Titans' and 'Batman Beyond' (Batman's successor with new technology and gadgets). All of them are powerful in their own ways, but can any of them measure up to Superman or even Batman?

Like I said, it's a matter of opinion. And although Superman isn't my favorite he seems to the most powerful of them all. Just look at the guy! He can block falling boulders and hot lava with his cape, punch through steel, catch missiles and planes, run at the speed of light (sort of), fly around the Earth... who else can do that?
