The reasons are endless and theft on the rise. I have been down to my last and wondered how I was going to feed my children. Lots of things crossed my mind including stealing. Then my husband would come home with bags of food. Sometimes people steal because of need. I have heard many people say when it comes to my family, I will steal if I have too. Now that is a crime, but morally you have to feel where they are coming from. Some steal out of greed. They are trying to keep up with everyone else and sometimes it may lead them to steal the things they want but can't afford. Some steal because of pressure. This is common in teens, they want to be cool and accepted, so do it for the recognition. Some steal for pleasure. They train on how to steal smoothly, they are know as professional thieves. And last but not least you have the ones who steal because they can, it is rush for them. They often take things and return them. They just like the feeling they get when they walk out undetected. The reasons why people steal as I said are endless, no one really knows or understands, I don't even think the person who steals knows why they truly did it.
