1. Lay the jumper out face down so that the arms are extending out to the sides.
2. Take the left sleeve and fold it over towards the other sleeve, making sure that the fold itself is a few inches (5-10cm) inside the body of the jumper- rather than just where the sleeve meets the body.
3. With the same sleeve, place a finger at the top of the fold, to hold it in place, whilst you flip the cuff over and down to the bottom of the jumper. The result should be a diagonal fold from where your finger was, towards the centre of the body.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the right sleeve, trying to make the folds symmetrical about the centreline of the jumper.
5. Fold over about 4 inches (10-15cm) of the bottom of the jumper so that there is a smooth bottom side to a rectangular shape rather than having sleeves sticking out proud.
6. Fold the bottom edge up to meet the top edge and flip the jumper over. You should be looking at a neat jumper approximately the size of a sheet of A4 to A3 (somewhere a little larger than foolscap, letter, legal or executive paper).
7. If the jumper is too wide, start again, but make the fold in step 2 (and repeated for the other sleeve in 4) further towards the centre.
Additional Note: If the top is a hoodie, fold the hood down before step 2.
