How to make it through your day if you've been up all night

Staying up the next day after being up all night.

I stood guard duty in the Navy many times in this exact situation so I have extensive experience in this subject.

Tip 1) Drink Caffeine-

This is obvious, but a must. You will crash at various points in the day. What do you do? Drink more caffeine. This is not healthy, but if you are staying up all day after being up the night before, then you obviously need to be up.

Tip 2) Avoid Heavy foods-

Nothing knocks you out faster than a large meal. Avoid large amounts of pasta or large portions of meat. To stay awake, eat small amounts of high energy, carb heavy junk food.

Tip 3) Avoid comfort-

If you are warm and cozy in bed, you will fall asleep. In the classes in the military, if you nod off, you are ordered to stand during the remainder of the class. Trust me, this works.

Tip 4) Avoid warmth and seek the cold-

Cold water in the face, cold air in the face, or just being chilly, is one of the easiest things you can do to stay awake. Relaxing or sleeping when cold is very difficult.

Tip 5) Music with loud rapid beats-

Avoid trance techno, classical, country, and any slow songs. Harsh discordant forms of rock are best. Turn it up and stay awake.

Tip 6) Engage other people in conversation-

If possible, talk to someone. Interest in the conversation and the other person will help you stay awake.

Those are the best methods.
