Ten tips for parents to help their children avoid teen pregnancy

talk to your kids about sex when theyre still young...I'm talking 6 years old to 10 year olds...It might seem too early, but these days, kids are becoming sexually active at younger ages. It's a scary thought that some kids are engaing in sexual activities. Most of the time, the kids who do engage in sexual activity at such young ages haven't been properly eduacted on the topic. Tell your kids the consequences...Ofcourse, when theyre about six, don't present them with had evidence, make it so they can understand..Come up with real life situations...you could say something such as; "Having sex with a boy can make you pregnant, and you don't want to give up having fun in 2 or 3 years do you?"

I don't have kids of my own, but I know that I would definetley teach them at a young age. In the U.S. we daunt at the thought of exposing kids to the sexual society they are growing up in..Parents shelter thei kids too much, and it'll be too late when parents think the time has come when their child is heading off to college. In Europe, sexuality is an open subject that is commonly and openly talked about. They learn that there is nothing bad about sex, but that the consequences can be devastating.

Teach kids about all forms of potection..let it be the pill, condoms, abstinence, etc.
