For centuries, mankind has been separated into two distinct groups of people: those who seek war and those who seek peace. Will those who seek peace one day smite out war? Will the world one day be like John Lennon's "Imagine"? Or will the proverb "Where there is land, there is war" persist in our world?
The truth is, one will never know if mankind will live in a world of peace until that moment comes to fruition. Maybe one day, we will evolve into this excellent, peaceful creatures who want no more than to live in harmony. A world without war, a utopia, world peace no longer being just a concept or a dream, but a state of being.
I'd like to think that all mankind will lay down their arms, draw the line, accept things as they are and live together in a beautiful world where death is not caused by greed, political gain, or cruelty. But I look around me, and I see the nature of people, all the hate, corruption, power-hungry people on top of the world. I see senseless murder, senseless displacement of people, every excuse imaginable used to create war or declare war or constantly live in a state of war.
Although there is theoretically a chance for world peace, just as there is a chance for anything unfathomable to occur on our planet, with the way people are so quick to kill each other, to bomb each other, to hate each other even without reason, I just don't see it happening.
