OurStage is a website that offers people who want to break the into the entertainment industry a chance to showcase their talents.
Musicians of all kinds can upload their songs and/or music videos for exposure that is otherwise hard to come by. The site also allows animators and directors to post their work to the site.
Every month songs and videos of similar genres are put up against each other for the chance to win cash and other prizes. The winners are chosen by members of the site.
These members can choose what sort of song they listen to or what kind of video they watch and given two to compare from that category. The voter is given seven options - 'same' - and then for both sides - 'slightly more', 'more' and 'by far'.
The top ten in each category is displayed on the site every month, with the top in each category winning a cash prize. Winners then have the chance to appear on TV, in magazines and at film festivals.
Members then have a chance to vote for the best of the best by text and the winner is awarded $5000.
