How a doctor uses an X-ray

A doctor uses X-rays for radiographic diagnostic purposes.It is the cheapest diagnostic procedure compared to other MRI or CT scans.It is mainly used for
1.To detect broken bones
2.A chest X-ray is used to detect Tuberculosis
3.Bone deformity detection
4.Heart abnormalities like congestive heart failure
5.Pneumonia and other lung conditions
6.To detect breast cancer using mammography.
7.To detect gastrointestinal disorders.

X-rays are used to detect the broken bones including the skeletal system defects.X-rays can pass through soft tissues and can be used to detect disorders of gastrointestinal system ,lungs and the respiratory system.You might have noticed doctor asking a chest X-ray for doing simple body check up.Why?It is to detect Pneumonia and other lung conditions,lung cancer and edema.It is also used to diagnose the probability of stones like kidney stone and Gall bladder stone.
