Many people work out of town and stay in hotels for the majority of the week every week. These long trips out of town can make you wish for home and familiarity. Being on the road for long periods of time is lonely and you sometimes just need a little something of home to make you feel better about a hard day.
The fastest and easiest way to make your hotel room feel like home is to bring some items from home. Put a couple of framed pictures of friends, family, or your favorite places around the room. Play some of your favorite songs, bring some of your favorite candles.
Call your friends and family frequently and tell them of your travels. Shop for souvenirs to take back home. Enjoy yourself, find things to do to take your mind off of home. You're sure to feel just fine and at home.
