The words of better poets,
Are oppressing us today.
The structures of our fathers,
The themes that they portrayed.
The eloquence of masters,
Is keeping us in check.
Their rhymes and all their reasons,
Their words have stacked the deck.
The leaders of our nations,
Are guilty of the same.
Their truth and all their power,
With which they play their game.
So what if we should break out?
I wonder if we'd find,
Another source of beauty,
I wonder if they'd mind.
