If you are Christians, there is one book that is an absolute must-read. Even if you don't consider yourselves Christians, this book will absolutely change your life and your marriage.
This book is the Holy Bible, God's word. In order to grow spiritually, you must be in God's word daily. I recommend that every newly married couple spend at least 30 minutes a day reading the Bible together. The Bible is full of wonderful advice for having a happy marriage and raising happy children. And best of all, it was written by the world's best expert on, well, everything!
There are a few other good books that I recommend for newlyweds as well. One of these is "Intended for Pleasure" by Ed Wheat. This is a wonderful, easy-to-understand manual for couples who want the most out of their intimate relationship. I believe this is such an important part of marriage and it is the duty of a married couple to learn all they can about the proper way to please each other.
Two other good books for newlyweds are "The Power of a Praying Wife" and "The Power of a Praying Husband" by Stormie Omartian. These books give great insight to how husbands and wives can pray for each other. They highlight for each spouse the particular difficulties the other is likely to have and how they can support each other through those difficulties.
No matter how prepared you think you are for marriage, there is always more you can learn. I recommend that couples read at least one book a year about marriage so you can always be learning new ways to improve your marriage.
