and it reaches the final last stage. There are stages that start with '0' and ends with '4'. Here is a small description of each. Stage '0', the 'oh my spit is thick and clear' stage. You may not even notice a problem in this stage. Stage '1' is when you spit turns into mucus and thicker with coughing. Your pains come and go more. Stage '2' is when your mucus has a friend called phlegm and phlegm has a family of little dots tagging along. When you observe your mucus, it can help solve the mystery some. Stage '3' is when you have throat pains from the passing of mucus and phlegm. Sometimes there will be greenish color to because your system is weak enough to get infections. You have a hard time breathing in this stage and many people sleep sitting up so that they do not choke on the mucus of phlegm while sleeping. And again, the worse times for people suffering from chronic bronchitis would be while they sleep and the mornings. Reason for this is due to the body laying down and helping the mucus and phlegm to travel up the throat since they are laying down. It is very possible that you can not change what is about to happen to you in stage 3. This is when the irreversible damage occurs taking away many chances to heal. Stage '4' is a serious stage. This is the stage where so much damage has occurred that you may need oxygen and hospital care. The sound of someone in this stage can be heard as they struggle to speak due to damage to their airways and chords. In stage 4 many people die and that is why one should learn to get it checked out before that happens. Try not to leave your loved ones wondering why you never helped yourself.
Some people think chronic bronchitis has something to do with their allergies and just live with the problems. You should get it checked if it may be possible that you have chronic bronchitis. Just ask yourself about the mucus. If it turns jelly like and has specks in it, get it checked out. If it is thick and changed over to a greenish color, GET IT CHECKED OUT. If it grows inside of you without getting it checked out then it may manifest into an irreversible problem.
I caught mine in time. I do have chronic bronchitis and adapted to a different lifestyle. I am healthier than ever now. Trust me, it is never the end of the world if you find that you do have chronic bronchitis. That is if you become aware of your problem and learn to control it before it is too late. Please do not wait too long. For more information on chronic bronchitis, ask your health care provider or health insurance agents. They usually have the support and guidance that can help you overcome this mountain.
