It's clear to me that our environment will get much worse before it gets better. It will take decades for our Earth to heal itself without the addition of more greenhouse gasses, but our do-nothing Politicians are more concerned about winning the war against terrorists for the huge multinational corporations of the World.
Like it or not, global warming is more than just a serious issue, and it needs the attention of all of the World's leaders. The World's people better become green friendly in a big hurry. There's plenty of talk about CO2 emissions, but these days little is said about the degrading ozone layer.
As a matter of fact, the measuring scale created to measure the level of UV radiation is no longer adequate as a health warning tool. Just what exactly does a reading of 10+ UV radiation reading really mean? Your guess is as good as mine. Maybe the true reading is actually 15 or 20. It's time to be honest to the public, and come to terms with this truly life ending problem.
We truly need politicians who are aware of the problem, instead of the ones we have that are bankrupting our Country and completely ignoring the other serious issues that are destroying our health, family relationships, security and mental stability. Nothing that our Politicians say make any sense, and it seems to me that our homeland security was created for protecting only the richest people within our Country.
Without a doubt, the people of the World need politicians who aren't completely out of touch with reality. The elected politicians that we currently have withi the United States of America are doing nothing more than creating, "The Age of Economic Servitude," for everyone who isn't insanely greedy and loves more than just money. Saving the World on which we all live on will be a very expensive task.
The majority within our Country can put those oil companies out of business within five years if fuel cells and/or hydrogen powers the cars and factories of the future. That future better come quick if we expect to stay healthy and alive and pass down a World to our future generations that isn't nothing more than one natural disaster after another.
Rising ocean levels will cover about 20% of our Country's land mass within 20 years, and that includes New York City and many other high population cities. Who will pay for the cost of those natural disasters? We will, that is, if the other modern Nations of the World don't declare war against us and then completely destroy all that we hold dear to our hearts.
The burning of fossil fuels, together with an increase of the World's population could very well cause the deaths of tens of millions of people in the future. There are cheaper and green friendly ways to produce electricity. More hydro-electric plants can be built and put into operation. Wind power is being aggressively used by several European Countries in place of muclear energy or energy from fossil fuels. We can do the same thing and achieve similar results.
Our Sun porvides a great deal of free energy. As such, solar cells can convert such radiant energy into electrical energy. Clearly, more land needs to be allocated for solar cells. So too, The Sun's energy can also be used to heat the water in your hot water tank or you yourselve can put solar cells on your roof for the purpose of making some of your own electricity to power the appliances within your home.
Fossil fuels are no longer cheap and their continued use will only contribute to the further destruction of our environment. So too, we must free ourselves from the greedist people on Earth and make our World a better place for those who come after of us.
