I know a way to make a thousand dollars a day that dose not require school or a long time investing and reinvesting.
Before I was diagnosed with cancer at the age of forty, and subsequently disabled by the radiation therapy, I used to make a thousand dollars a day regularly. If you live in the Tacoma - Seattle area you can make even more than a thousand a day. On a real good day there I could make Three Thousand Dollars, lol.
I was the proud owner of Strother's Tree Service, it was nothing for me to charge you the home owner $1,500.00 up to $10,000.00 to remove those scary looking 150 foot plus doug fir, or hemlock, maybe a big western red cedar, lol. All you really need to accomplish this task is a set of Buckingham, or Klien tree spurs, and climbing saddle. Oh do not forget a quality flip line, the line that holds you by the waist to the tree trunk. Two good preferably Stihl Chainsaws, the first an O20 T professional topping limbing saw, the second an O44 to an O66 preferably magnum professional bucking saw. You will need at the minimum 1old ford or other pickup truck, and a preferably flat bed trailer. Now you are set.
Now that we have the basic bottom line equipment, we need a basic ad in the news paper, the yellow pages when we decide we like the money, and can get the job done. Now that we have our advertisement going we will start getting calls. The average Douglas fir say a foot and a half in diameter 125 feet tall 3 feet of the side of the house we can get $500.00 to $700.00 to cut it down, cleanup the limbs and buck the trunk into firewood and leave for the homeowner to burn in their fireplace. It is no problem to cut down and cleanup to 4 of these trees down in one day. But we do not want to appear greedy, so we will make it take a day and half, lol.
Now to get one on the ground, just slip on your climbing belt, strap on your tree spurs, adjust your flip line for the tree trunk, strap on to the trunk and start up. If you are lucky there are no dead stubs from old limbs on the trunk, if there are they will have to be sawed off on the way up. You Will need the O20 T topping/limbing saw for the first half of the job. At about 70 to 90 feet you will run into the limbs if you are lucky you can saw them off with one hand and throw them away fro the house with the other, other wise you will need to use the piece of equipment I forgot to tell you about two 150 foot ropes. Throw your rope up and over a higher limb and tie it to the limb you want to cut saw it off and lower it to the ground, repeat each process till you are about 10 or 15 feet from the top. Now saw one limb off leaving a stub about a foot long tie on the top cut between the rope and the stubbed back limb, and lower the top to the ground. now start back down the trunk cutting one piece of firewood at a time. When you run out of gas, or get to where the tree is 8 to 10 inches in diameter, use your rope to lower the O20-T to the ground and pull up the O66 start it and keep cutting the trunk in firewood till you step back on the ground. this process should take an hour to the most 3 hours. Your man on the ground should have the limbs loaded on the trailer by now. You should be able to get 2 to 4 of these trees on one load.
Now that you know the process you will be able to get more trees than you can hope to cut. In the beginning I used to worry about running out of jobs. But Know worries I was working 7 days a week if I felt like it, for 10 years before moving to Mississippi, where I did the same thing in Biloxi MS, then Cancer ended it all. Any where there are tree over 50 feet tall you can make comparable money. Good Luck and happy cutting.
