How the millionaires made their millions

Millionaires have made millions through one of three ways. They earned it through salary, and saved it until they had a million. They created a new business, that was the right product or service, at the right time, for the right group. They inherited it through parents, grandparents, or some other rich relative.

Some millionaires made millions just because of their birth rite. Born to wealthy parents, they inherited cash. Prince William, and Prince Harry are perfect examples. When you are born to a prince or princess, money comes with the birth rite. Lots of millionaires "earn" money because they have been blessed to have been born, to parents whom are also millionaires. This is by far the easiest way to earn a million.

Some people created millions out of thin air. Creating millions, can be quite different from keeping millions. A millionaire that made millions did it through not following the herd. When people were buying, the millionaire was selling. When others sold, they bought. Ask any self made millionaire how they made the first million, and chances are high, they will all say the same. They operated against the crowd. As owners of their own business, they identified a niche, and tapped into that niche with a unique product. Then, they exploited this product or service to a market, that either already existed, or that they created. Ty, manufacturer of beanie babies, is a perfect example of creating a product, and creating the market for that product through the "retirement" of beanies.

While others saw problems, the millionaire saw possibilities. When the majority said "Nay", the millionaire said "Yea". When the public said "Stop", the millionaire said "Go."

Ben Franklin said it first. "A penny earned, is a penny saved." Some millionaires socked away cash, preparing for a rainy day, and through time, and exponential growth of money, managed to create a portfolio worth a million. Today, a millionaire lives on nearly every block, throughout the United States. You probably don't know that they are millionaires, because they live below their means. Anybody, with enough time and discipline can be a millionaire, if they follow the "penny saved, is a penny earned" mentality.

Making a million, can be different from keeping a million. There are many today, that know this quite well. One look at the current state of economic affairs, has reduced many millionaires, into "thousandaires" "hundredaires" or even paupers. However, there is no doubt about it, while one millionaire will disappear, another will arrive, because the millionaire understands that behind every problem lies a new and unrecognized possibility.
