Changing Christmas tree decorations inexpensively, year to year

by AmberJB

If you get tired of the Christmas Decorations that you use every year, but don't want to spend a lot of money, the best thing to do is to just buy (or make) a few new decorations. That way you can change the style, without going overboard. You could even make buying (or making) a new decoration each year a family tradition.
Displaying Christmas cards that you have received is another way of decorating that is easy (and inexpensive) to do. Either just stand them up on a spare table, or string them up across the room.
If your home decor has changed since last year, try buying a different colour tinsel to use as a base for your christmas tree to update the whole look.
Encouraging your children to make decorations is a great idea to keep them entertained over the holiday season, and see if they would like to put their handmade decorations up in their rooms. That way you can keep the decorating in the main room/rooms simple, but allow them to enjoy what they have made to.
Most importantly, remember Christmas decorating should be fun, and not stressful, so take the time to appreciate what you have, and enjoy whatever decorating you do!
