Poetry: Adoption

To give Birth to you was the Greatest Blessing God could ever give me. The sound of your first cry melts my heart even today. The first time I ever held you in my arms, I was so young then but I can still feel your warmth even today. The first time I changed your diaper, what a mess we made. The smell of your hands after giving you your first bath, there is no other smell like a baby smell,I miss that even today.

The first moment I knew you would belong to someone else, tore my heart in two.
Two parents to raise you and to nurture you.
Even after all these years I have never stopped Loving or Missing you.
I can look back and see how much I missed, & still wish I could have been there.
To see you grow up, to watch your first baseball game, to take you to your first picnic, your first fishing trip, God only knows how I wish I could have been there.

To Give you Birth was the Greatest Blessing God could ever give me.
I Thank God for letting me be apart of your life today.

I Love You Son
