Poetry: Dragons

In olden times of long ago,
When kingdoms stood with regal show-
In secret places far and wide,
Some sought to know where dragons hide.

When dragons gather in their lair,
Few would find them waiting there.
As dragons soared on outstretch wing,
Man seldom heard the songs they sing.

Some think today the dragons myth,
Yet never look the breath and width-
Of kingdom lands where legends goes,
Where secrets linger, mystery flows.

In secret places far and wide,
None seek to know where dragons hide-
Yet look above in lofty hight,
As rainbow skies give way to night.

Watch closely now, see dragons go,
Remember times of long ago.
When kingdoms stood with regal show-
Where dragons hide some sought to know.

Dragons wait within their lair,
Now venture out with utmost care-
As dragons soar on outstretched wing,
Stay quiet, then you'll hear them sing

Cool night breeze from dragon's wings,
From long ago when men were kings-
Some sought to know where dragons hide,
Yet failed to look down deep inside.
