This is just an article to support one of your writers, regarding methods of curing head lice. I hope it won't be seen as plagiarism. That is not my intention. I did not take the writers name, but she added some valuable information of getting rid of head lice and I would like to back-up her findings. Living in the Southern Hemisphere it is a big problem.
Lavender and Tea Tree oil are fantastic for getting rid of head lice, and other little bugs, spiders et al. I too, spent a fortune on all the commercial products, and eventually went back to using these two products. You can also add them to your conditioner, and then comb. hair conditioners, stun lice for about 20 minutes.
They can also be used to keep fleas off your pets. A few drops of lavender oil in the bath water and rubbed under the pet's collar, are wonderful for keeping them 'flea free'. When you are traveling, especially to Islands and or in Back Packers Hostels, take a small bottle of both with you and just put a few drops on the mattress at night.
Interestingly enough, is that both of them are a natural antiseptic, so can be applied to minor cut and bruises too.
