The Internet has already been a part of the campaign of 2008 in a very distinctive way. Two Democratic front runners (Hillary Rodham-Clinton and Barack Obama) both announced their intention for run from president in 2008 through a "net cast."
Clinton announces in a room with soft light and living room furnishings that one could find in many upper-middle class home in America. She invited the listen/watcher to join here in discussions about things that needed to be done in this country. I think it set to make the watcher feel her and Hillary could really sit down and discuss the problems we face.
Barack Obama used a much less homely feel to his announcement. He simply made the announcement and said a few words about the future. I do not think he used the Internet because it was there and easier. I think he used it to bring some notice to his age and that his age does not hurt his ability.
I think this is just beginning of the things we will see in the 2008 elections. I am interested to see what happens next.
