Poetry: Relaxing

..Relaxing to me is a not a regular treat,
to sit on my ass and lift my feet,
working twenty four hours upon the sea,
can't work all the time or under ground I be.

..Fish to sort and ice them down,
ready for market in Sydney town.
clean all the nets to use them tonight,
filthy dirty and looking a sight.

..Pack up the truck and wash off the salt,
won't belong before I halt.
patch more nets because there holey,
responsibilities mine,and mine solely.

..Fishing is finished now on to the yard,
mow the lawn and vege's to guard.
talk to the children see whats in their head,
kiss on the cheek, they're off to bed.

..Relax I do now enjoy while it's so still,
tomorrow I work for there is more fish to kill.
careful you be do don't give me no sass,
whenever I sit and relax on my ass.

    ~ My day off ~

I might sit out on the porch,
    Or lay in the yard.
I am not doing chores today,
    They're just too dang hard.
