Can financial planners help me plan for retirement?

Of course financial planners can help you plan for retirement. When you visit with your planner they will ask you what your goals are. Tell then you're planning for retirement and what you want to be able to do when you retire.
Don't shy away because you feel you're too young to plan your retirement because you're never too young to plan for your future. Who knows, your retirement plan might be so good your might be able to retire earlier then you think.
Your financial planner will advise you of many ways in which to invest for both short term and long term goals. Remember to ask questions even if you think they're stupid. Don't worry, the only stupid question is the one not asked. You aren't expected to understand all the terminology they might use and they expect you to ask them to explain.
