Some of us, well a lot of us is by self promotion a know-it-all. And to some degree, we're right. But, there's the stereotypical arrogant, analytical know-it-all that just uses common sense and assumptions. They commonly have a consensus view of the world and usually the first one to raise a conversation about a subject he/she just had or just read about and have a general idea, making it seem as if they're knowledgeable in that particular field. It's usually about current events, newspaper articles, the Internet. Then they have so much to say about nothing using anagrams and discerning dictation to seem smarter, but mainly to confuse the listener. Making them seem smarter and you seem not so smart. To combat the know-it-all, you can keep up with current events, but you can also start your own debate about world events. If it's Iraq the analyzer wants to discuss, agree with them, do not correct what's said, that's just going to initiate an argument that just may end up going in a direction you may not have the ammunition to fight back. Which is just where he/she wants to go with the conversation. If it is Iraq, talk about Dar fur, the militias looting and pillaging the innocents. If it's the United States that's bought up talk about what's going on in Belize with the poverty rate sky rocketing out of control. Test the know-it-all knowledge about what they really think they know, which I'm going to assume it's not as much as they want you think they know!
