Hair loss is something that is dreaded by many men and even a few women. However, there are options these days that can help to counter hair loss. In this article, I will discuss some of these options.
We've all heard of the common remedies for hair loss. One of these remedies is Rogaine, which can possibly regrow hair. The drawback is that you have to catch the hair loss in time.
In other words, as soon as you notice hair loss you should start using Rogaine. The price for Rogaine can vary depending on the brand name, special offers; etc. But you can usually expect to pay between fifteen and eighty dollars.
Another treatment method is a pill called Propecia that your doctor can proscribe for you. Again, it's best if you start taking Propecia as soon as you notice hair loss. If you're completely bald, then Propecia is unlikely to do much good. Propecia also guarantees results, when used properly. If you take Propecia for more then a year and are still balding, then your money will be refunded.
From what I've seen online, you can expect to pay between one hundred fifty to four hundred and fifty dollars. Whether or not your insurance covers the cost will also affect the price.
Have you heard of the LaserComb? The LaserComb is another product that can regrow hair. Apparently, the LaserComb has been used in Europe for several years now. All you do is run the LaserComb through your hair every so often, and your hair grows back.
This isn't a cure all, though; it's just another option. A fairly expensive option. Right now the LaserComb costs around five hundred and forty five dollars. This price will probably drop with time so be patient(if possible). And remember, it's not guaranteed to work. Nothing is, sadly.
Another product for hair loss is called Retane. Retane is similar to Rogaine due to it being a product that you rub onto your scalp. The difference is that Retane is all natural, while Rogaine tends to have more chemicals in it. However, Retane has been proven to work in a large percentage of men, so don't write it off as some worthless cure all.
It really can work if you catch the hair loss early enough. Just like all the other hair loss products. The cost? Expect to pay between thirty five and two hundred fifteen dollars for the product. Retane will cost more or less depending on how advanced your hair loss is.
How about your diet? It has been said that too much red meat can cause hair loss. So perhaps if you watch what you eat, you might stand a better chance of keeping your hair. This hasn't been proven, but it does seem like people in Asia have more hair than people in the West(people in Asia usually eat less red meat).
Have you ever heard of a eunuch? I bet you have if you've ever watched Pirates of the Caribbean. Anyway, a eunuch is basically a castrated male. These individuals rarely go bald because they lack the testosterone that causes baldness. Not that I would ever recommend castration, but it does work.
In conclusion, losing your hair can be a depressing and horrifying experience for men or women. However, it's not the end of the world. You can choose to either embrace baldness or do something about it. The choice is yours.
