Banner ads are a form of online or internet-based advertising. You click on the banner ad, which contains advertising text, graphics/design and/or company logo. The ad leads you to the advertiser's website. Advertisers can exchange banner ads similar to link exchanges, as a form of marketing and advertising.

Affiliate programs also make use of banner advertising. Once you join an affiliate program you have a choice of many marketable banner ads that you can place on your website.
