My Grandfather
I wander through graveyard one after another,
Hoping and dreaming to come upon his headstone,
Yet another pointless day spent dwelling in grief,
For my mother never divulged his final resting place.
I'm sure it's been well kept as she loved him as I,
I often wish and desire to lay flowers by his deep sleep,
But I am hindered since I can't find the proper grave to keep,
He was my only grandpa I ever knew; May he rest in blissful peace.
When God decides it is my time to simply and easily find,
The grave where he was laid to rest after his journey in time,
I'll be able to fulfill my longing wish; Give him roses with a kiss,
It will be the end of my long journey too; Remembering the man I once knew.
