Most of the people have heard about ClickBank. Briefly stating, it is a platform for affiliate programs. But it is only restricted to Digital Products. If someone wants to promote non-digital products, then ClickBank is not the right place.

I personally would prefer an affiliate place which gives me options to promote both physical and digital products. I don't want to be restricted to just one type of products. But with ClickBank, you have no choice.

The other problem with ClickBank which has not been much talked about is their penalty system. They say if there is no activity within an account, then the account will become dormant. Well, the problem does not lie there. In addition to making the account dormant, they are also going to fine one at the rate of $1 per day and after a certain period of time $10 per day. Their plocy states "Accounts with a positive balance but no earnings for an extended period of time are considered dormant. Dormant accounts are subject to a $1 charge per pay period after 90 days of inactivity. A $10 per pay period charge applies after 365 days."

There can be times when one is sick, or one is holidaying or one is too busy elsewhere and one may not be able to do much with ClickBank. But it is more concerned with how to get more revenue for itself, left and right.

Another major problem with ClickBank is that their fee structure is quite heavy both for the advertisers and publishers. They are trying to take a bigger cut of your earnings which may not be justified.

Moreover, they only list items with a maximum value of $100.

PayDotCom.com is another place which takes care of all these problems. It has both the physical and digital products in its market place, it does not penalize one, it does not have any restrictions on the value of items and above all, its fee structure is quite reasonable. The site itself is so easy and friendly.
