The simple answer is yes.

Nowadays just about every add on or peripheral that can be used with a computer comes with a USB attachment. Most computers now come with about 4-6 USB ports but with technology improving all the time its becoming increasing difficult to have enough ports for devices that you have.

There are 2 solutions to get round this problem.

The first one would be to buy a PCI USB card. Basically this is a PCI card that you fit to the inside of your pc. These generally come with about an extra 5 USB ports on it. This is a good way to solve the problem but it doesn't involve having to opening up your machine to install the card.

The second option and in my opinion the best is to buy a USB hub. You plug the USB hub into one of you USB ports that is already on your computer and this will increase you USB capacity instantly. I feel this is the best route to take as it doesn't involve having to open your pc and you can buy usb hubs of different sizes so it means you can get a hub with 24 ports if required whereas with the card option you are generally limited to round about 5 ports.
