The warmer days will also bring more hours of light so that means more opportunity for an outdoor workout.
Walking is a great one to start with - whether it's walking to work instead of taking the Tube or bus, or walking to the park at lunchtime and having a stroll round before sitting down on the grass or bench to eat. You get a workout and get away from your desk at the same time - both recommended ways to spend your lunchtime.
Seasonal swimming pools will be opening soon, and swimming gives the body an excellent all round workout. Most pools have a session designed just for those of us who work, so you can fit your swim in either before you go to work, or at lunchtime, or later in the evening. There's nothing quite like swimming on a warm day in an outdoor pool - unless it's in the sea that is! If you're lucky enough to live by the sea, then when the water warms up a little, take a dip in it: you'll get a much better workout as you'll be having to exercise against the elements - it's a lot more strenuous swimming in the sea than in an outdoor pool.
Or maybe fit something in with the children: take the ball or Frisbee over the park after school and spend an hour or so messing around - this is a workout that probably won't even feel like one!
And there's always cricket or swing-ball or tennis (the mini versions I'm talking about here!) in the garden on those lovely warm evenings, just as the coals in the barbecue start to die down...
