Nutrients and the nourishment they provide

Nutrition is the nourishment that every individual uses food and drinks to continue his/her life, which means to be supplied by the diet to provide for normal health of the body, and for energy supplies and materials for growth.

The nutrients are the organic substances that are formed and accumulated in specific organs of body. They are the needs for growth and energy supplies. Nutrient includes proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals.

Proteins is any of large group of complex compounds, containing carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, and sometimes phosphorus and sulfur, and consisting of chains of amino acids joined by peptide bonds. Proteins form the structural part of most organs, and make up enzymes and hormones that regulate body functions. They are synthesized in the body from their constituent amino acids, obtained in the diet. Proteinuria is the presence of abnormally large amounts of protein, chiefly albumin, in the urine; it is usually associated with kidney disorder but can also result from fever or other causes..

Lipid is the group of greasy organic compounds, including fatty acids, waxes, phosphor-lipids, and steroids. Lipids are stored in the body and serve as energy reserves. In 1845; Boussingault has proved that lipids are converted from carbohydrates. Lipids also participate in forming essential substance of all cells, including cytoplasm and nucleus; and protect all the organs of body from shocking. Lipids are also the solvent in which some kinds of vitamins are dissolved.

Nowadays, the relation between the roles of lipids and nutrients are considered careful. Some studies have shown that there are serious affects of lipids to patients who are suffering heart- diseases.

Carbohydrate is the group of organic compounds (containing the elements carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen), including starches and sugars, that are the chief energy sources of the body. Carbohydrates from foods results in production of glucose which is the metabolized to release energy, stored as adenosine triphosphate (ATP). Carbohydrates are synthesized by green plants ( through the process of photosynthesis), consumed by humans in the forms of cereals, flour products, fruits, and vegetables, and either absorbed immediately or stored in the form of glycogen. Carbohydrates also participate in being the needs of processing oxidation reactions of lipid substances and protein in the body, and being the energy supplies. Also carbohydrates participate in forming complex proteins,
