Reflections: Memories of my grandmother

I could write a book on my beautiful grandma who is now in heaven as of about 10 years ago. She was 63, and came as a total shock to the whole family as well as her friends. She died of lung cancer suddenly, although I have my speculations that she knew she was dieing for a while, and wanted to save us the extended grief "of the inevitable."
My grandma was my angel on earth I say. She always made me smile, never having a harsh word or ever yelled one time at me. I was the first grandchild, and she and I had a special bond.
My grandma was a buffer between my father and us four children, as he was not a father who was around much after my parents divorced at 5 years old. She always new her sons mistakes, but wanted to try to make a difference for us in any way she could.
This year,in only 4 months I will be a grandma at 39, and I want to be half the wonderful grandma she was. What a pair of shoes to fill that will be!
Her name was Annie Goff, but I call her Grandma!
