One thing I have learnt, as a petite female, is I should never look as though I wish I was taller! Be happy as a petite female! Glow in it!
The touchy areas for the petite female include the following:
Dressing Up
* High heels I know, a petite's first choice is to go very high! Wrong! Don't look as if you are trying to reach the impossible. The wobbly look on stilts is quite unflattering. If you are a big footer, then all you will achieve is a high-heeled clog look. No one will notice your beautiful dress! They are too dumbstruck with the shoe gear!
Answer: Aim for the high heel with good balance and neat eye-catching attachments. You will look like a great little twinkle toes!
*Dresses O how those large florals look great! Sorry! They are not for you!. Go for the floral, if you must, but keep them small and many rather than large and few. For the more endowed petite females, a single large floral may just sit in such a way you may look like an assymetrical tart. Reduce the game of chance and stick with the small florals.
Answer: Keep the florals small and ensure those latest neonic colours don't make you look like a set of traffic lights walking. If in doubt, aim for plain print neonics or simply plain materials.
Dress Up Casual
* I love my jeans, but my big hips make me look like pumped up balloons on paddle pop sticks.'
Answer: No! Don't go for baggie jeans or slacks. You will only look frumpy and most uncool. Work with the jeans. Make sure the legs are as long as possible and slip into neat high heels. A soft materialed, flowing blouse, long-sleeved, which only reaches to just below the hips, should keep your secret a secret. To others, your flow is downwards, not outwards. If the weather is cold, and you need a jumper, aim for one that accentuates a downward movement, maybe even to the knees, and sleek NOT bulky. The bonus of this outfit is you even look a little taller without trying too hard!
Jewellery! Anything goes! Just as long as you have toned your clothes to suit your petite build! A quality, chunky bracelet on a petite female can be quite alluring! With a little thought, you can create a neat package of contrasts, just as long as your clothes suit you!
