Everyone wants that raise. They think that they are worth more money, and that they deserve it. What you need to know is when you ask for that raise, do not expect it overnight. And if you keep bugging them for the raise because you think you are better, the chances are you will not get the raise or you may not get as much as you had expected to get.
You have finally gotten the courage to ask for the raise. You have stated your case and made several points on why you think that you deserve the raise. Now you have to play the waiting game. Employers take their time giving out raises because they do not want to pay their employees any more than they have to.
They also take their time giving raises because they want to make sure that what you said about how you are worth more is true. The best way to speed up the process is to show several examples to your employer that you are truly worth it. They want to know that they have made the right decision. If you have a lot of things to show them of what you did and how you are worth more, you can speed up the process.
You need to patiently wait for their decision. If it has been a week or two and you haven't heard anything back, or not even an email saying they are still looking into it, then I would bring it up again. Sometimes employers get too busy and unfortunately you raise is not at the top of the list. Mention it to them again. Get them thinking about it and you will eventually get an answer.
