The benefits of free trade

As presently constituted, Free Trade Agreements have done great harm to the American Economy and have caused millions of jobs to be outsourced to countries where workers are paid very little, have no benefits and manufacture generally inferior goods. Free Trade does benefit large corporations because they can increase their profit margins by cutting wages, benefits and total employees, thus generating more profits for shareholders and of course exorbitant salaries for upper management.

If you enjoy talking to a customer service representative in a Third World nation who speaks some language vaguely resembling English, then Free Trade is for you. Pretty soon developed nations like the US and the UK will be opening stores on EBAY where they can sell off the rest of their national assets. Oh yes, I suggest you all learn Spanish, Chinese and Hindi, so you will be able to function in our globalized world.
