balance of brightness.
4. Avoid monstrosities; large plants, mirrors, sports equipment, artwork of solitude, loneliness or aggression.
5. Include catalysts to tranquility; fresh backdrop flowers, romantic artwork.
The Office:
1. Ideally, choose the right site. Plots in the circular and horseshoe shape are preferred, careful to avoid excessive exposure to the elements.
2. Avoid colossal, surrounding extras. Immediate environs should not include large monuments and sculptures.
3. Desk position should face the door with your back to the wall, careful to avoid your back to the window.
4. Positive interior effects include mirrors, another way to open office areas to create brightness and openness.
5. Balance colors and textures: light and dark, smooth and rough.
Freedom of energy and the flowing of chi create a feng shui space. Using the five elements of harmonywood, fire, earth, metal and wateronly tranquility and peace may follow. In the language of color, each of these elements is represented by specific hues:
Wood: green and brown
Fire: red, strong yellow, orange and purple
Earth: light yellow, sandy/earthy tones and light brown
Metal: white and gray

Knowledge of the level of color usage for each of the five elements is derived from Ba-Gua, the energy map of your space. In Chinese, Ba-Gua translates literally to "eight spaces".
