How to choose the right Airsoft class

Choosing the Correct Airsoft Class for you:

There are several factors that one needs to take into consideration when first starting airsoft, and there is nothing worse than a player who clashes with his role. Note: this is written for more tactical players, if you are a player who plays in a small group with four or five friends every once in a while, this is not a good guide for you.

Explanations of Class Roles:

1. Assault Rifleman-
-Normal Weapon: AEG, usually of a higher quality, high FPS and RPM are essential. You are fearless, work well under pressure, quick moving and reactions, and can lead your team well.

2. Support Fire-
-Normal Weapon: AEG, can be less accurate as long as it spreads alot of fire in a short amount of time. You may be startled easily, you prefer not to lead, and you are just to lay down "support fire" to help your troops move easily through open areas or areas with heavy enemy resistance. You are the one who sticks your neck out when under fire. You are often killed, but you are cool with that.

3. Rifleman-
-Normal Weapon- strong, accurate AEG. You like the idea of picking guys off but aren't into the idea of a bolt action weapon. You may trail the team, and you don't necessarily have to do too much running. You have the ability to help out when needed and you have very good aim.

4. Sniper-
-Normal Weapon: Spring Rifle. You don't like to get into the middle of a battle. You have the best camouflage and you don't mind sitting still for a long time. You are into defending rather than attacking. You bring up the rear of your squad, or you go off on your own, with another scout or a machine gunner. You have steady aim and aren't too trigger happy. You would rather wait for a good shot than take a pot shot. You are constantly aware of your surroundings and where your team is and how they are doing.

Ask yourself these questions.

1. Are you easily frightened/startled/caught off guard?
If Yes- you probably fit into a support fire role, you are in the battle midst, but you are not the point, nor are you fit to snipe. If no- you can fit into one of the other classes.

2. Are you quick on your feet? If yes- you belong in an assault or support fire role. If no- you fit into the rifleman/sniper group.

3. Are you into close combat situations? If yes- you are suited for an assault rifleman's role. If no- you belong in another class.

4. Do you like to pick off guys with one or two shots, or would you rather make sure you get them with 10 or 20? If 1 or 2- you are suited for rifleman/sniper classes, if no, you probably belong in an assault rifleman or support fire group.

5. Are you into the idea of using a scope? If yes, go and be a sniper, if no, then you are in a different class.

6. Are you new to airsoft and just want to shoot stuff? If yes, you belong in a support fire role. If no- you are ready for a different class maybe.

7. Can you sit absolutely still for upwards of 20 minutes? If yes- you can be a sniper. You won't need to sit for that long normally, but you have to be able to to know that you can sit there at all.

Any one who does not fit these descriptions should think about what they like, and maybe play a couple video games and decide which class you like best.
